    "This event was to orient faculty members on the emerging trend of Home Health Care in India. A team of resource persons lead by Dr. Gagan Kapoor, Head-Physiotherapy Services -Health Care at Home Pvt. Ltd (from the promoters of
     Dabur) conducted the FDP. Dr. Gagan Kapoor brief about the rapidly growing business of Home Health and its scope. He talked about the practices adopted in his company and how systems are being developed. Dr. Ridhima Gupta explained about Electronic Reporting and its intricacies.Dr. Alok Kumar Jha talked about Consent Forms and importance. Overall the session was a good learning experience for the Faculty Members.

     Department of Biotechnology, I.T.S Paramedical College organised Fresher’s Party 2017 on the theme Masquerade for UG and Novato Fiesta for PG on 23rd Sep 2017 to welcome the fresh batch of B.Sc. Biotechnology (Batch 2017-20) and M.Sc. Biotechnology (Batch 2017-19). The program started with Saraswati Garland & Lamp Lightening followed by Saraswati Vandana. Welcome speech was given by Dr. F K Pandey. Many events were performed by the students like solo dance, group dance, solo singing, group singing, ramp walk etc. Selection of Mr. & Miss. Fresher for both UG and PG was done through talent round and question-answer round. Mr. Sumit Choudhary was selected as Mister PG  Fresher and Miss. Neha as “Miss PG Fresher”. Mr. Love Kaushik was selected as Mister UG Fresher and Miss. Kritika Joshi as Miss UG Fresher. Bond between both the batches was strengthened and healthy relationship between both the batches was developed.

    16th Sep, 2017 on the occasion of ‘International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer’ seminar session was organized on by the students of Biotechnology on the theme “Save Ozone, Save Earth, Save Life”.  The major highlights were point presentations on various topics of environmental concern and ozone layer depletion by the students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. The International Ozone Day is an annual event that commemorates the date of the signing, in 1987, of the Montreal Protocol.

This year's theme as given by World Confederation of Physical Therapy was "Physical Activity for Life". Extending the theme further the department organized varoius activities

    Orientation Program for B.Sc (Biotechnology) Batch (2017 -2020) and M.Sc. (Biotechnology) (Batch 2017-19) was organized on 1st Sep 2017 by Department of Biotechnology. Dr. Himanshu Narayan Singh, Research Scientist, CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi was Chief Guest of the program. Dr. Singh presented a very interesting presentation on Designing Biology. He shared his experiences and guided the students about how to make successful career in the field of Biotechnology. He discussed on the potential of Biotechnology sector and demand of biotechnologists in near future. He concluded his session by encouraging all the young biotechnologists to do better in the field of research and academics and invited the students to visit CSIR-IGIB. A beautiful motivational session on Spiritual Biology was given by Professor Emeritus Prof. R C Sharma. Prof. Sharma is having more than 55 years of experience in the field of higher education and research. Mr. Aditya Gupta Faculty and In-charge Training and Placement presented and entire glimse of how to make better career by exploring job opportunities. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Chaitali Chakarborty.

    Faculty and Students from Department of Biotechnology, I.T.S Paramedical College participated in a 3 day Conference at Wellness India 2017 Expo, New Delhi. On 30.08.2017 Biotech India Day was organized and Technical Sessions on Medical Biotech, Agri Biotech, Animal Biotech and Bioinformatics were held by the experts of respective fields. On 31.08.2017 Organic India Day was observed in which Technical Sessions on Organic Farming, Smart Foods, Organic Medicines were held. It was a great interactive event for the biotech students in which they learned and observed recent developments that are taking place in biotechnology field.
